Uncharted Kite Sessions returns to Brazil again this fall with Surfin Sem Fim for another epic season of down wind kite surfing adventures along the beautiful Brazilian north coast. This section of coastline is over 400 kilometers long, and is one of the most multifaceted of the Brazilian down wind trips.
As always we focus on the route north of Jericoacoara known as the Delta. We feel this is the best kite surfing on the entire Brazilian north coast, and the Delta Poldros is the best of the Delta route. The best waves of the north coast. Sublime point breaks. Endless beaches. Fantastic river crossings. Charming wildlife. Spectacular sunsets. Unbelievable beauty in it’s remoteness. The beauty of Brazil will blow you away.
The route starts in Camocim, travelling along the coast to Atins; a small fishing village that sits on the edge of the Amazon jungle and Lençois dunes. This route is challenging as we have several days of over 60km. But we are rewarded with a few nights at the beautiful Ilha Dos Poldros. An oasis in the middle of the Parnaiba Delta.
This is a bucket list trip equivalent to a safari in the Serengeti, hiking the Himalayas to Everest base camp, or sailing across the Atlantic. It’s as challenging as it is rewarding. After completing this route more than a dozen times in the last 4 years, every year we can’t wait to get to Brazil to do it again. We’re confident you’ll love it as much as we do.
You’ll be living this real adventure in comfort while recharging overnight in the best pousadas in Brazil. Riding fantastic distances in safety, always supervised by professional guides and receiving coaching from Uncharted Kite Sessions & Surfin Sem Fim kite surf teams.
The Brazilian coast from Ceará to Maranhão receives constant daily trade winds, ensuring a high quality sailing experience during the entire wind season. This is the only place on earth to kite surf along hundreds of kilometers of untouched coastline, feeling confident about the wind and water conditions.
Strategic meeting points are chosen to stop the vehicles to allow us to hydrate our bodies with healthy beverages and food, as well as to freshen up our memory about the sailing ahead. This is a once in a lifetime adventure, and a transformative experience.

Strength Of Wind
Brazilian spring, being North American fall, are statistically the windiest months of the year with average daily winds ranging around twenty-five plus knots. Most people ride from five to twelve meter kites depending on weight. The wind is predominantly from the east, as is the swell. But as it is Mother Nature, and she is unpredictable, it is better to have a kite and not need it, than to need a kite and not have it.
Wind & Climate
With an average temperature over 30°C (86°F) in the fall, Brazil sun is very intense. Be sure to bring lots of sunscreen with high UV protection. Zinc is always a good idea. Long sleeve UV protection jerseys are also a good idea. Also bring a water hat that can attach to your clothing. If you are used to riding with sunglasses, it is a good idea to bring them.
Do You Need Your Own Gear?
Yes! UKS will have some Slingshot gear for demo, but in limited quantities. Minimum gear to bring: 2 surf boards. 2 bars. 2 kites (3 recommended). Better to have a kite and not need it, than to need a kite and not have it. Day board bag for quick storage and day trips.
***TEST ALL YOUR GEAR BEFORE COMING****
IF YOUR GEAR IS IN QUESTIONABLE CONDITION, REPLACE!
THERE ARE ZERO PLACES TO BUY GEAR ONCE WE LEAVE JERICOACOARA. IF YOUR GEAR BREAKS, AND YOU DON'T HAVE SPARE GEAR, YOU'RE LIMITED TO WATCHING FROM THE TRUCK. AND THAT SUCKS.
DON'T MISS THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T CHECK YOUR GEAR! CHECK YOUR GEAR!!
